About Us

Bar D Plumbing is a family-owned and operated plumbing company. We founded our family business 33 years ago, and since then, our plumbing company has grown immeasurably.

Through hard work, we’ve been able to add two trucks to our company and expand the scope of services we offer to the Durham community.

Currently, my wife, my daughter, and I (Jimmy) run the company.

Our favorite part of this job is meeting new people and talking to them. The Durham community is very diverse, and throughout this job, we’ve met all sorts of people. Each of our clients is different, and we’ve learned so much about them, their culture, where they’re from, what they like and dislike.

Some would say that working with people every day is challenging and stressful, but we disagree. We think that it brings more dynamic to the job, so it never gets boring.

Since we love the dynamic in our job, that’s what we also like when we aren’t working. On our days off, we enjoy hiking, fishing, riding horses, or any other outdoor activity. In the fall, we like to travel out west and enjoy the wilderness.
